The Edge is a hybrid tricopter fixed-wing aircraft that can take off and land from anywhere, using FlightWave’s patented Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL technology).

The Edge hovers like a tricopter and flies like an airplane with seamless transition from hover to forward flight and back again, without nets, catapults, or other cumbersome ground equipment to operate - no runway necessary.

The FlightWave Swappable Twist-Lock Payload System allows pilots to fly multiple missions using a single aircraft. Our touchscreen ground control station allows for flight planning with a touch of a finger or take manual control with ease and precision.

Take-off and Land Anywhere
Modular tilt-pod technology enables vertical take-off and landings. FlightWave’s tilt-pod technology only tilts the motor, eliminating pitch and roll. Hover without tilting the airframe allowing smooth flight in all sorts of weather conditions.

Transform Automatically
The Tilt-pod automates the tricopter’s entire VTOL transition phase, creating precise take-off and landings. Autopliot combined with the tilt-pod rotors increases stability during hover and flight modes.Transition with ease with a flip of one switch.

The Power of Lift
The swept-wing design utilizes thrust vector control by angling the tilt-pods and oscillating their power. The patented technology allows the tri-copter to transform into an airplane increasing the total flight time.

Plan your entire mission on the touchscreen controller and the enhanced autopilot will take off, navigate, steer, execute the mission and return without constant remote instruction. Enhanced autopilot commands the entire trajectory of the flight. The autopilot has compute power necessary to raise the standards of endurance, speed, and weather resistance. Reacting in real time using thrust vector control, the autopilot makes thousands of decisions, so you don’t have to. Complete more missions with fewer remote interventions.
