SENIOR SALES ENGINEER
Department: Business Development
Location: Remote + time in Santa Monica, CA
Type: Full-time, salaried

Description: As a Sales Engineer you are largely responsible for supporting the sales process with technical demonstrations and understanding of customer needs and explanations and building excellent customer relationships. You will be traveling throughout the USA, performing commercial demos and establishing corporate presence at technology trade shows while also delivering training and support to our growing number of customers and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance on FlightWave solutions to prospects and customers, working collaboratively with BD/Sales on new opportunities.
- Growing business with assigned and new customers
- Supporting customers with technical solutions
- Establishing and maintaining excellent relations with customers at all levels
- Works with the BD/Sales team to define and document project scope
- Create project technical requirements & feedback to Product Development
- Collaborate with customers to define solutions to customer challenges
- Develop cost estimates for proposed solutions
- Work with BD/Sales to answer questions from prospects and customers
- Will be required to write and review technical project documents, scopes of work, proposals, and budget estimates.
- Train users on FlightWave product solutions
- Develop domain expertise in vertical industry segments
- Reports into BD/Sales management
- Domestic travel required up to 20%.
- Ability to support customers through the customer lifecycle, This will include troubleshooting hardware and software components
Requirements:
- Experienced Drone Specialist with Part 107 License and several years experience in advanced Drone Operations.
- B.S. or higher (M.S.. preferred) in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely-related field
- Three to five years of relevant industry experience with preference to small team / startup environments
- Proven leadership, team management, oral & written communication skills
- Prior experience designing, building, and troubleshooting software / electrical / mechanical systems
- Preferred experience with the Pixhawk ecosystem including PX4 software development
- Desired experience applied to UAV topics
SR. SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Department: Engineering
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Type: Full-time, salaried
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Description: In this leadership role, you will be responsible for tightly coordinating between vision and timeline to unlock FlightWave's vision for long-range autonomy. In many aspects this will be a systems-engineering role applied to flight and ground control systems, but the role will also require mentoring others and making individual contributions across the entire software tech-stack at FlightWave. This includes a large variety of disciplines, such as guidance navigation and control (GNC), communication systems, embedded computing platforms, imaging systems, and over-the-air update systems. You will additionally be responsible for identifying challenges, setting schedules & goals, and ensuring fast-paced progression through critical tasks. Experience and well balanced opinions on project management structure will be expected, as you will be establishing a structure which must survive a significant growth in personnel count.
Requirements:
- B.S. or higher (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely-related field
- Minimum five years of product management experience (seven or more preferred) with preference to small team / startup environments
- Proven leadership, team management, oral & written communication skills
- Prior, demonstrated experience with hardware-software interfaces in complex systems
- Prior and deep experience with CPP, Python programming
- Prior experience with version control systems (Github) and general software development tools & best practices
- Prior experience with Linux systems
- Prior experience applied to computer vision topics
- Preferred experience applied to UAV topics
